As the first 4F-class (the highest level for airports) civil international airport in central China, Wuhan Tianhe Airport continues to grow in global influence, and its comprehensive supporting services have undergone major upgrades. A new landmark, bearing the mission of a “city gateway”, has emerged.

Rhythmic Light and Shadow: The Interplay of Phoenix and Butterfly

Between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 of the airport, a building designed with the concept of “Phoenix Rising at Dawn, Butterflies Dancing in the Wind” gracefully unfolds. Light and shadow dance and flow across the building’s facade, bringing the design elements of “phoenix” and “butterfly” to life. This is the Tianhe Airport Passenger Service Complex, one of Wuhan’s key projects for 2025, serving as the “reception hall” to welcome people coming here and contributing to the city’s opening-up.

Precise Control, Perfectly Presenting Diverse Lighting

The complex spans a total of 87,700 square meters and is managed by the InterContinental Hotels Group. It features the Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn brands, integrating upscale guest rooms, conference centers, and distinctive commercial spaces — embodying a multi-functional hub.

The diverse spatial scenarios and varied usage requirements placed extremely high demands on the overall lighting system. Lifud’s smart LED drivers, with their stable performance and precise control, provided solid support for the flawless presentation of all lighting environments.

Whether it’s the bright lighting in public areas or the warm and soft lighting in guest rooms at night, the dimming system accurately adapts to the lighting needs of different times and scenarios.

As a large public building, energy consumption control is a critical consideration in the project’s construction.
